Lisa Stoneberg
Lisa is the youngest of the five children of Walter and Dorothy Borovich, and is a life-long area resident. After graduating from Port Huron Northern High School, she went on to Western Michigan University, where she earned an MA in Counseling Psychology. Upon moving back to the area in 1994, Lisa went to work as a clinician at a local agency, and later rose into the ranks of management – overseeing multiple programs. In 2004 Lisa and her sister Karen established CCMS. Lisa and her husband David live in Avoca with their two children.
Karen Gavin
Karen is the eldest of the five children of Walter and Dorothy Borovich, and is also a life-long area resident. After graduating from Port Huron Northern High School, Karen went on to earn a BA in Social Work from Wayne State University. In 1998 Karen began work at a local agency as a paraprofessional and later became manager of the program, which she then helped build into a successful and growing mentoring service for area children. In 2004, Karen began building her own agency with her sister, Lisa. Karen and her husband Brian live in Lakeport. They have three grown children: Joe, Ross, and Alana. Alana works as a counselor at CCMS.
OUR STAFF
Our ever-expanding CCMS family is home to over thirty staff with training and professional/ life experience in a variety of areas. Doctorate-level staff offer clinical oversight of our services, as well as assessments and workshops. Master-level clinicians provide our outpatient counseling services, and Bachelor-level staff serve in the majority of our programs. At CCMS, we take a team approach to client care. All of our CCMS staff work under the direction of a supervisor, and undergo thorough State and National background screening. Our clinicians possess state licensures, are certified in a variety of specialty areas, and receive on-going training to better meet your family’s needs. |
